A practical finish
A flake floor is a colored base coat covered completely with vinyl chips and sealed under a clear top. The speckled surface hides dirt, leaves and tire marks, and the texture gives your feet something to grip on rainy days.
Colors that suit the hills
Earthy blends with oak brown, stone gray and moss green tones look at home in Castro Valley's wooded neighborhoods. Gray and white mixes suit modern remodels. We bring sample boards so you can see the colors in your garage light.
How it goes in
We test, grind, repair and prime. The base coat goes on, chips are broadcast to full coverage and the excess is scraped and vacuumed after curing. A clear topcoat finishes the system.
Where homeowners use flake
- Main garages
- Lower-level workshops
- Laundry rooms off the garage
- Covered side patios
Will leaves and dirt stain it?
No. The topcoat seals the surface, so debris sweeps or blows off.
Is it slippery when wet?
Less so than a smooth floor. We can add more grit.
